The Small Coffee Shop with a Big Heart ❤️️

It all started in September 2016 when, after the heartache of seeing their son Jacob undergoing yet another brain surgery, Sarah and her husband decided to try to fulfil their son’s dream of owning his own coffee shop. But Jacob’s Brew is not just about sandwiches and coffee. They provide so much more to the community.

Jacob’s Brew donate a percentage of their revenues to their NGO Survivors Malta, whereby funds collected are used to initiate projects to help families facing trauma. They also encourage and assist community projects such as CRAFT&COFFEE FOR CHARITY where donated wool is crafted into crocheted/knitted items to be given away to chosen causes bringing joy to the homeless, the needy and the sick alike. In addition to all this, when you pay your bill at the coffee shop, your receipt will be stamped with their JACOB’S BREW PAY IT FORWARD stamp so that you may pass your stamped receipt on to a family that are facing hard times and in need of support. These can return to the shop with their stamped receipt where they will be offered a free pot of coffee or tea and support from their support group SURVIVORS MALTA.

Since January 2018, they have also been running Jacob's Coffee Run, delivering free sandwiches and coffee to the ITU waiting area at Mater Dei Hospital. The feedback and gratitude that they receive from the benefactors of their good deeds is priceless! So much so that they felt the need to reach out to a lot more people in need of support and that the next step forward was to expand on their existing Coffee Run initiative by purchasing and setting up a pay it forward coffee van so that they may continue on their mission to help families facing hardship all over Malta and Gozo!

Unfortunately because of the pandemic, their activities at the hospital have been put on hold until better days. But when they are able to start once again, they will simply carry on where they left off! In the meantime, they are using their time and energy on their mission to raise funds for their coffee van, which will be used to sell food and beverages at designated hot spots. Profits accumulated from the van sales will then be used to pay forward coffee and sandwiches at homeless shelters, rehab hospitals, mental health institutions, drug rehab centres; anywhere and everywhere that support is needed!

They need €30,000 to kickstart this project. You can help them achieve their goal and make that difference to so many lives!!
