EUROPEAN STARTUP HUB
The European Startup Hub provides online courses to young students, who are interested in the entrepreneurial world. Together with this, once a year, we have a Start-up Action event for anyone to attend and build a start-up within 2 days. We help you take ideas from inception to pitch deck format.
Blitz Kids at Home
Blitz KIDS AT HOME is a children's programme that can be enjoyed in the comfort of home. The objective is to inspire the young and remind everyone that art is a powerful tool for imagination and healing. We believe the best way to support our community – and virtually everyone who is limiting their movements for the benefit of our societies – is to keep making art part of their lives, even during these extraordinary circumstances.
Online Lessons on Carton Drawing & Free Colouring Book
I am looking to contribute my skills and strengths in digital arts to inspire creativity by educating, entertaining and engaging others through creative online lessons on drawing cartoons. Why cartoons? Because anything is possible in a cartoon. I will also be offering free colouring books for children and adults.
Connect with Nature from Home
BirdLife Malta are providing free educational resources to help children learn academic subjects through nature at home and for families to have fun discovering the wildlife on their doorstep! In our resources, you can also experience our virtual tour of Is-Simar Nature Reserve, aimed at Year 3 social studies fieldwork. On a weekly basis, Birdlife will be sending out new resources in a newsletter to our contact lists and sharing on our social media.
HOMEWORK CLUB INTERNATIONAL
Online Homework Club
Homework Club International is a space where young people aged 6-15 years from all backgrounds receive homework assistance and working of past-paper / worksheets, appropriate to the subject matter from our tutors. It provides an opportunity for revision not only for exams, but throughout the year in a relaxed, friendly and cooperative learning environment for those studying.
MY STORYTIME MALTA
Story-Telling and Book
Reading for Children
This is a voluntary endeavour to offer story-telling and book-reading sessions to children. We recognise that parents need a bit of child-minding help, and we also love books and would like to spread the love. Every weekday afternoon we have 3 or 4 Facebook Live reading sessions (in English and Maltese) for children of different age groups.
Families offered three free months of child entertainment
Seeing as a lot of families are spending much more time indoors, Vodafone Malta is providing every single family on the island three months of free access to Azoomee. Azoomee is an application that provides safe entertainment for children through games, TV series and education content that will engage children during these tough times. Whatever service provider you have, you can access Azoomee for free through http://get.azoomee.com/malta/.
JOHN PAUL MUSCAT
Primary School Art Lessons during School Shutdown
This social media platform was a collaborative effort initiated by a group of Art Teachers with the intention of sharing their dedication, passion, love and knowledge of the subject to everyone. The group remains committed to delivering and sharing Primary School Art Lessons, useful learning tools, demonstrations, accessible virtual museum tours and relevant information.
Draw With Me
Drawing videos, which encourage children (and adults) to find a few minutes to let loose, draw and relax. The videos give tips and ideas for your drawing, however, they are not step-by-step instructions and leave you with room to be creative and explore. Through art and creativity, we can find time to connect and feel less alone.
